A Boy’s Prayer

Seek Strength

It is right for a boy to face challenge. It is the challenge that makes him stronger and more resilient for his Sir.  When a boy faces challenge, some may like to call upon a higher power other than Sir.

Boys from a religious or spiritual background are often called to prayer.  When they seek strength, they can struggle with memories of their childhood and the institution that didn’t see them for who they are.

This simple, yet beautiful prayer can be of great strength in times of need. Memorise it and add it to your toolbox of service. In those quiet moments when you need guidance, or when you’re actively under challenge in service to Sir’s needs, call upon the strength contained in these powerful words, and the strength that Sir knows is within you.

A Boy’s Prayer

Allow me the Serenity to serve Him in peace
Allow me the Love to show Him myself
Allow me the Tenderness to comfort Him
Allow me the Light to show us the way
Allow me the Wisdom to be an asset to Him
Let me be able to show Him each day my love of service to Him
Let me open myself up to completely belong to Him
Let me accept my punishments with courage and grace
Let me learn to please Him beyond myself
Grant me the power to give myself to Him completely
Give me the strength to please us both
Permit me to love myself in loving Him

Call upon your inner strength so that you may serve Him well. Find pride in service, find peace in ownership.

Your life’s purpose is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be supportive, to be committed, to have made a difference in Sir’s life. Only then will you know you have truly lived and lived well. The highest form of worship is unselfish surrender. Serve, submit, give your gif
