Test Yourself: Defining Your Architecture
BDSM and hierarchy in general represent a broad church, with many of us sharing both similar and distinct interests. This site occupies a specific niche for those who share an interest selection similar to mine and follow the principles and philosophy of Executive Sir.
For Sirs and boys alike, understanding and categorising their interests is useful and aids communication, but it is often a complex task. [suspicious link removed] goes some way toward providing a standardised classification system which may prove useful when meeting a potential new partner. i use it regularly with new boys to get a clear sense of what they need and where they fit.
i present it here for the record, as i know it is well-known and widely used within the community.
The Value of Classification
In a dynamic where clarity is paramount, a results chart serves as more than just a list of kinks; it acts as a blueprint for the relationship. It allows a Sir to see:
Compatibility: Where the Sir’s dominance aligns with the boy’s specific brand of submission.
Growth Areas: Identifying “soft” interests that a Sir can nurture into developed protocols.
Hard Limits: Establishing the boundaries of the structure before construction begins.
Integration into Protocol
When a boy presents his test results to a Sir, he is not just sharing data; he is offering a map of his psyche. A worthy Sir will take these results and:
Analyse the data to identify the boy’s “Big Idea” (as discussed in Stand Out from the Crowd).
Verify the results through conversation and training to ensure they are true reflections of the boy’s nature and not just a “wish list.”
Implement the findings into a Written Protocol that governs the boy’s daily life.
By using such tools, the guesswork is removed, allowing the Architecture of Hierarchy to be built on a foundation of honesty and mutual understanding.
